2017 Travel Blogger Summit on Study Abroad & Global Citizenship

SUMMIT FORMAT

This Fall, during the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, 

Hostelling International USA and Partners of the Americas hosted a reunion of the prestigious participants who attended the first ever White House Travel Bloggers Summit on Study Abroad and Global Citizenship in December 2014.  The 2017 Summit reconvened 100 of the top celebrities, journalists, bloggers and digital media influencers in travel and is designed to stay true to the community’s original mandate:  

Go forth and engage young people about the transformative power of travel and study abroad.  

This large scale event will take place in three parts:  an invite-only summit for the best Travel Bloggers & digital influencers in the business, the inaugural Global Goals "Green" Gala in Manhattan’s largest private open air green space, and an opportunity to attend the star-studded Global Citizen festival. 

 

All proceeds benefitted HI USA’s Explore The World travel scholarships & Partners of the Americas USA Study Abroad Diversity Fund grants programs.

GIVE BACK

To conclude the 2017 Travel Blogger Summit on Study Abroad & Global Citizenship, a meaningful volunteer service opportunity for the Travel Blogger Summit participants will be rewarded with tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, just two blocks from HI New York City.

The inaugural Global Goals "Green" Gala in Manhattan’s largest private green space, a benefit open to organizations and individuals.

 

All proceeds will support HI USA’s Explore The World travel scholarships and Partners of the Americas’s USA Study Abroad Diversity Fund grants programs.

This invite only summit is for highly influential travel bloggers, writers, video bloggers, writers, journalists and industry leaders.

As with the original White House Travel Blogger Summit in 2014, this summit is an opportunity to discuss initiatives and strategies for encouraging American students to study, volunteer, travel and work abroad.
